Published research data should of course also be findable, so that they can be made available for subsequent use. Repositories usually offer search masks in which the archived research data can be searched. The metadata of these data can also be made available via appropriate interfaces (OAI-MPH), so that they can be fetched ("harvested") from appropriate data portals (e.g., Open Aire) and then found via relevant search engines.
